Which luxury car brands belong to which parent companies or corporations? Furthermore, as an extension of that question, which car brands are in the same family? Today, we’ll look at luxury car brands to determine their country and headquarters of origin, parent companies, related car brands, and more!

Acura 

Acura is the luxury vehicle division of the Honda Motor Company based in Japan. 

Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Fiat, and Maserati 

The Fiat Chrysler Automobiles group is a massive American and Italian conglomeration that includes the brands Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Fiat, and Maserati, as well as the more consumer-focused brands of Dodge, Jeep, and Ram. 

Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, and Porsche 

The German multinational Volkswagen Group includes the Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, and Porsche brands along with the international brands of SEAT and Skoda and, of course, the more recognizable Volkswagen brand. 

Buick and Cadillac 

The vehicle division of the General Motors Company, an American multinational corporation, includes the Buick and Cadillac luxury vehicle brands, as well as those of Chevrolet and GMC. 

BMW, Mini, and Rolls-Royce 

The German multinational BMW Group is home to the luxury brands of BMW, Mini, and Rolls-Royce. 

Genesis 

Genesis is the luxury vehicle division of the South Korean multinational Hyundai Motor Group which is home to the Hyundai vehicle brand and also has a minority ownership of Kia Motors. 

Infiniti 

Infiniti is the luxury division of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance which is a Franco-Japanese partnership. As obvious by its title, this group also includes the Nissan and Mitsubishi vehicle brands. 

Jaguar and Land Rover 

The Jaguar and Land Rover brands come from Tata Motors which is an Indian multinational automotive company. 

Lexus 

Lexus is the dedicated luxury brand of the Toyota Motor Corporation based in Japan. Additionally, Toyota used to own the retired brand of Scion and also has a stake in the Subaru Corporation. 

Lincoln 

Lincoln is the dedicated luxury brand of the American Ford Motor Corporation which, as the title indicates, is also home to the Ford vehicle brand. 

Mercedes-Benz 

Mercedes-Benz is the best-known brand of the Daimler AG German multinational corporation. Other subsidiaries of the Daimler include Daimler trucks and buses and the (now retired) Smart vehicle brand. 

Volvo 

The Zhejiang Geely Holding Group now owns the Volvo brand. This is a Chinese company based in the Zhejiang province, although the Volvo headquarters are located in Gothenburg, Sweden.
